“In Media Res” is a podcast that I co-host with Oliver Glanz. In it, we test ideas, explore issues, and nurture meaningful exchanges in a way that reflects the name of our show—in and through the middle of things. In other words, we relish the fragmentary, incomplete, fluid, and off-the-cuff nature of our dialogues. While we know that nothing can replace real, personal contact, we do hope to create a space where people from different walks of life can feel welcome and be a part of our spiritual journey. Or, in the words of Oliver in one of his FB posts: “If you feel like me, longing for that place where you can explore the world through conversation, without being watched by a religious police/religious culture, where you are motivated to continue your journey in life more passionately and with more dedication, feel invited to listen to our conversation. Perhaps it helps you to come home a bit. Every second week Ante and I will share our conversation on topics that keep our hearts and minds busy and where I imagine ourselves talking with each other in this old Amsterdam cafe right across the Prinsengracht, or sitting on the walls of the castello in Pula, imagining the shores of Venezia through the Mediterranean summer glare.”
